There are lots of beauty products coming in the market. All promises that good for any type of skin and are made from natural ingredients. I am not easily deceived by catchy advertisements and affordable price when it comes in taking care of my skin. I always see to it to check products reviews before using certain items. I’m very meticulous in using cosmetics and skincare products because of my sensitive skin.
I’m glad that I come across with The Cream Factory. I met the brand when I attended a BDJ event last year and I immediately fell in love with its smell! I wanted to try The Cream Factory bath cream back then but I didn’t have enough money to buy one.
Luckily, I was chosen as one of the ten reviewers of their newest addition: the Scrub-in-a-Tub!
I was invited to claim my prize at their office and I was fortunate to meet the very bubbly and accommodating Miss Anna Fernando. She introduced me with the Scrub-in-a tub variants. She asked me for my preferred flavor and I told her that I wanted the Goat Milk’s and Seaweed. I tested some of the content on my skin and it left a prickling sensation. Miss Anna then suggested I tried the Goat Milk’s and Jojoba.
Before I made my final choice, she informed me with the rest of the flavorful dessert for our skin!
If you want a little bit of hard scrubbing to your body, go for the Salty Scrubs: Seaweed for Revitalizing and Witch Hazel for Rejuvenating.
It is made from fine rock crystals that exfoliate for a more youthful and healthier skin!
How about a smell that stays on your body? Give your skin some of the Yummy Scrub: Cinnamon for Purifying and Almond for Detoxifying.
Both are chocolate scrubs that are made from cocoa bean bits.
And to those who have sensitive skin like mine, the Creamy Scrubs: Jojoba for Clarifying and Honey for Germ Killing is our best option.
The gentlest among the three kinds of scrub that has walnut sprinkles that effectively removes dead skin cells!
Some interesting facts that definitely will convince you to grab and use the Scrub-in-a Tub!

Time to believe! It was an early wake up call for me! We attended a different kind of mass where there was no choir and two priests headed the program. We used a book so that we could follow throughout the mass.
After listening to the great preach, we went back to out hotel and we prepared ourselves with the highlight of the day! The meet and greet with no other than Indiana Pacers Paul George! Hihi… Honestly, I didn’t know who he was but he played for the East team and my hat goes to him!
We had a back tour first at the NBA players’ locker rooms!
It was a surreal experience to see their arranged uniforms and rubber shoes that they would use during the game.
We immediately being pulled out with the rest of the group for the meet and greet session.
We were early for the M&G and the boys were truly excited. They put on the top of small table the things that they wanted Paul George to sign on. Unfortunately I only brought one ‘souvenir’ but I believed it was the perfect for the event.
When Paul George came, I was star struck.
OMG! He is so tall and good-looking!
My knees were weak when I asked him to sign the notebook. He was so nice in person. Though it was short and sweet, it definitely made my day!
The experience was priceless!
We went to the Jam Session store after the Meet and Greet. I was able to buy a lanyard as my souvenir!
The NBA All Star Sunday game was jam-packed not only by fans but celebrities. There were Janelle Monae, Earth, Wind and Fire and of course Pharell Williams who sang his very contagious song Happy.
So who was the winning team? It was definitely the EAST! The final score was 163 (East) and 155 (West).
The hailed MVP Player was no other than my favorite NBA player, Kyrie Irving who scored whopping 31 points!
That ends my NBA All Star 2014 and New Orleans experience but I still have one article about my ‘food porn’ adventure in the historical city of Louisiana! Watch out for it!
Expect the unexpected. I always enjoy a little bit of surprises with my day. It was an early call from all of us. We grabbed our breakfast at the nearby McDonalds before heading for a bus ride going to Mardi Gras. We expected to see the parade with out own eyes but unfortunately we didn’t! Instead, the Mardi Gras World was actually a place where costumes and props are being created.
We watched a video on how the Mardi Gras started at New Orleans.
Mardi Gras means ‘Fat Tuesday’ and it is always being celebrated during the Holy Week. We ate King Cake is a sweet bread that is popular food during the parade.
For every box of King Cake there is only one that has a ‘doll inside’. Lucky you if you got the doll because you don’t need to eat another cake again!
After the film showing, we explored the factory.
The finished products like King Kong and the floats are incredible!
Ghost tour anyone? Well, we didn’t actually see ghosts but we went to some places where paranormals are mostly felt and seen.
Our tour guide was Miss Liza who started our ‘walk’ with a house that is located in the famous French Quarter.
According to her, a big fire took place on the ‘slave area’ which killed the 60% population of the city back in the day.
Our next stop was an apartment where a sad love story of a girl who died miserably in a rooftop because of true love.
A wife and a mistress’s story was our tour guide next tale and she ended our tour with an evil woman who locked and killed her slaves.
Sightseeing over the city!
After the tiring tour, we rest for a bit before we prepared our self for the big event! It was NBA State Farm All-Star Saturday Game! It was a battle of Team East and West!
It was a thrilled night of showcasing their talent from
@ Sears Shooting Stars (There are four locations where the three players of each team need to shoot the ball as fast as they can): Winner- East (Chris Bosch from Miami Heat, Dominique Wilkins a NBA Legend and Swin Cash of Chicago Sky)
@ Taco Bell Skills Challenge (Each teams will send two teams with two players who will competing in a relay format and run the course for a single over all time): Winner- West (Trey Burke of Utah Jazz and Damian Lillard of Portland Trail Blazers)
@Foot Locker Three-Point Contest (The best player who can shoot as many of the 25 ball as he can within one minute wins): Winner- West (Marco Belinelli from San Antonio Spurs)
@Sprite Slam Dunk (In the freestyle round, three players from each teams will have to showcase as many dunks as they want for 90 seconds and in the battle round, it is a head-to-head match between the best East dunkers and the West dunkers. The slam dunk competition will be judge by the three NBA legends): Winner-East (Paul George of Indiana Pacers, Terrence Ross of Toronto Raptors and John Wall of Washington Wizards) Sprite Dunker of the Night- John Wall
It was also a night of great performance. Kendrick Lamar took the center stage and a surprised appearance from Vanilla Ice who sang the famous ‘Ice Ice Baby’ made the crowd crazy.
I can’t wait to watch the highlight of my New Orleans trip, the NBA All-Star Sunday Game!
