Never judge a name of a place not until you experience the things that it will offer. Have you ever heard of Tipsy Beans? Sound interesting right? It surely is!
Tipsy Beans Coffee Shop is a new coffee place at the heart of Mandaluyong City.
Luckily, the store is just a block away from my cousin’s home. We decided to drop-off so we can celebrate my post-birthday treat to her.
Just by looking through the glass wall from the outside of the café, I fell in love with the place immediately. There are several ‘coffee statements’ and catchy frames on the wall that caught my attention.
The attentive server gave us the menu as soon as we sat on their cute chairs. While browsing the menu, I could not help but smile with the affordable prices of unfamiliar set of coffee flavors.
My cousin could not resist taking the Voot Beer Float (75 php).
It has a pint of vodka, root beer, ice cream on the top and a can of root beer in case you want to add more taste.
The best seller Irish Cream on Coffee Rocks (80 php) looks like an ordinary coffee at first glance but wait till you sip it!
The coffee is sweet and very inviting to the taste buds!
Bacon in a milkshake? Now that is something worth to try! The Bacon Milkshake is consists of bits of bacon in the top of a milk frosting.
Not like your usual milkshake that is sweet, Bacon Milkshake is purely milk heaven.
We certainly agreed to take pasta as our dinner. The Drunken Hungarian Sausage and Mushroom (128 php) was a nice treat.
I liked the bit of alcohol content on my pasta which I tasted. My cousin was hands down with your Grandma’s Baked Macaroni (php 118) which is truly delectable best seller pasta!
The potato nuggets were highly addictive and recommended appetizer. Just a little warning: Once you bite it, you cannot stop and you will even ask for more!
Our Tipsy Beans food-gasmic experience completed with the healthy sandwiches! Yahoo!
The Cheese Steakbomb can be compare to your ‘daily baon’ but wait until you taste it!
Are you on a diet? Don’t forget to grab the Toasted Tuna Melt (80 php) for your own indulgence.
We will see you again Tipsy Beans for your new sets of drinks and desserts!

I am proud to be a Bella, a user of Belle De Jour planner. This 2013, BDJ planner have been a big part of my every day life. From simple tasks that I need to remember to the biggest blessings that I received this year, Belle De Jour Planner never forgets to remind me of those important things and happenings.
Belle De Jour is not just your typical planner; the creative people behind it organize wonderful events for their subscribers and everyone who wants to join. Luckily, I attended four Belle De Jour rendezvous this year and the most recent was the BDJ Fair. It was my first time to go to the fair. It was held at SM Mall of Asia, Concert Hall last October 13 from 10 in the morning till 10 in the evening.
I was fortunate to be chosen to be part of the Scavenger Hunt. It was an activity for Bellas before the participating talks where everyone had a chance to meet the other girls, had fun with the different tasks like in Amazing Race and won awesome prizes. There are 10 groups and I was happy to be teamed up with the last group, Team J.
We made jingles, do it yourself bracelets, had lots of laugh while doing the limbo rock and hula hoops. Our team did not get the covenant first place yet we enjoyed the activities so much.
With empty stomach and a bit tired body, I headed with the first talk I signed to.
It started one in the afternoon and the speaker was Myrza Sison, the editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan Philippines.
She shared 10 steps of Being Fun and Fearless. I had a great time listening with her experiences and her helpful tips.
Starting today, FEAR and EPAL are no longer negative words. They are empowering words to live by according to Miss Myrza.
EPAL stands for
E nable the
P ursuit of
A n Exciting
And the Fearless tip that I was grateful to hear was ‘join lang ng join’ because for Myrza, the braver you are, the more expanse your dream will be.
Like a true Bella, I will not stop until I make my dreams happen.
The talk with Jill Ngo, the Belly Dancing Goddess was truly entertaining and enjoying.
The six mantras are made to empower girls to be fit and healthy.
Of course, Miss Jill did not allow us to just to leave carrying the six mantras only. After the amazing talk, she taught us some simple exercises, zumba and belly dancing moves! All sweat ladies!
Aside from the talks, Bellas enjoyed the booths of participating brands where there were lots of games and freebies.
I was not able to avail the free drink from Coffee Bean or experience the rock climbing and the bungee jumping yet I made sure that I got to sit down with the ‘tarot card readers’.
Tarot Card Reading is one of the free perks during the BDJ Fair when you paid 100 php and all cash donations will proceed to the chosen charity of Belle De Jour.
It was my first time as well to participate with a tarot card reading. The verdict: The tarot card reader was serious when he gave me the ‘messages’ from the cards. He reminded me that all of the answers were just guide. It is up to me if I would believe it or not.
Belle De Jour Fair was one of the happiest events I went so far. I had met and gained new friends, learned how to empower myself more and just enjoyed my whole Sunday. Thank you so much to BDJ for continuing to help make our dreams come true with their awesome planner and superb events.
Surprise! I’m giving out some of the freebies that I got from the event to a LUCKY READER!

I am a huge fan of yogurt. Whenever I craved for it whether it’s frozen or the one that I usually bought from the supermarket, I always see to it that I have it after my meal.
Last Friday, my high school friends and I ate in a fine Japanese restaurant at SM North Edsa. I was not hungry because I just ate pizza and pasta from a send-off celebration. Yet I ordered some appetizer which I enjoyed despite that it’s been a bit expensive. While eating the appetizer, I’ve been thinking of yogurt and immediately after I’m done eating, I remembered the newly opened yogurt kiosk at the 3rd floor of The Block.
The robot is going to serve me the yogurt! I looked like a kid when I stared at the robot machine in front of me. The polite store assistant of Reis and Irvy’s Frozen Yogurt just smiled at amused face. I might look crazy but who won’t be with this cute little thing.
Like an excited child, I paid 125 php for the two yogurts and two toppings. When Reis and Irvy’s Forzen Yogurt opened last September 28 they sold the yogurt for 175 php and only one size is available.
Paula, the store assistant quickly gave me the coupon which you need for the cash slot.
After inserting the coupon to the cash slot, you have to choose your first yogurt. They once had chocolate flavor but now you can only have vanilla, melon or melon and vanilla for your first yogurt. After you pick your first yogurt flavor, it’s time to add your first toppings. You can choose from peanuts, sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, muesli, chopped cashews and chocolate toppings. You just have to repeat the process for your second yogurt and toppings. The server recommended muesli and melon so I chosen it for my first yogurt and toppings.
Of course, I took the only rose among the thorns!
While I was waiting for my frozen yogurt, I got the chance to know more about the Reis and Irvy with their friendly shop assistant. Reis and Irvy is an American company and their store at North Edsa is their first branch here in the Philippines.
They are planning to have at Ortigas though which hopefully will push through. They might also have a little treat with their customers this Halloween! Cool!
The long wait is over… Here comes my frozen yogurt! Yay!
Thank you for the cute little pin Paula and Mark, I definitely come back again.
Check out Reis and Irvy’s Frozen Yogurt at 3rd floor The Block, SM North Edsa, Quezon City.
Serving you delicious frozen yogurt from 10 am to 9 pm and visit their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ReisIrvysPh
Did you ever wished to be someone else just for a day? Wallace Avery not only wished to be someone but he faked his death so that he would be a new person.
I got the privileged to watch the premiere night of Arthur Newman last October 8, 2013 at Glorietta 4, Cinema 5 Makati City. The movie showing started at exactly eight in the evening with free popcorn and a C2 bottle.
Here is my review about the film that was made last 2012 but it was only released in the theaters last April of this year.
Colin Firth as Wallace Avery/Arthur Newman
I’ve been hearing about how great Colin Firth as an actor yet it was my first time to watch his movie. I’m totally impressed! I loved how he portrayed the two different characters effortlessly. If I were also in his shoe as Wallace Avery, a guy who was bored with his life, faked his death, left by his ex-wife and estranged to his son. I would definitely want to have a new start and life as a different individual. Arthur Newman opened diverse adventures to Wallace which I found awesome. He was able to trespassed other houses and just simply have fun.
Emily Blunt as Charlotte/ Mike Fitzgerald
She is gorgeous and I truly adored her in Devil Wears Prada. I was glad to see Emily Blunt in the big screen playing as kleptomaniac who pretend to be her schizophrenic sister and who liked Wallace, wanted to just leave her past behind. Thumbs up for her acting!
Chemistry is freaking hot!
The gentleness and sincerity of Arthur towards Charlotte is very sweet. I could feel the love and care through out the whole movie. They are crazy lovers that you would cherish from the beginning until the end.
The audience laughed when Arthur seriously asked Charlotte, “So what should I call you, Girlfriend? Fiancé?” And the charming Charlotte answered, “Whore”. Sad to say, the sweetest couple had bid farewell to one another.
Storyline is good.
Arthur Newman shown various personalities of people that we could relate to. We all do have secrets, we all have past experiences that we do not want to go back to and we all longed for a better life. The story might be simple and shallow yet I learned a lot of lessons that I do hope to apply with my own life.
The ending… I hate it.
When I watched the trailer of the film a few months ago, I was excited to know the ending. Will Arthur goes back to his past life? What would happen to Charlotte? I was disappointed with the open ended finale of the movie. Charlotte went back to take care of her sister who was in the hospital and Wallace planned to reconnects with his son, drove his car to his ex-wife’s house and they saw him alive and that’s it. What? That was the ending I’ve been waiting for? I believed most of the movie goers had the same reaction with mine. I was just wondering if there is going to be a part two of it but I guessed it won’t have.
Catch Arthur Newman in your favorite cinema houses, it opened yesterday, October 9.

I probably the most unplanned and disorganized person you ever know.
But thank God I met Belle De Jour Planner! 🙂
Belle De Jour Planner is the best planner/journal I ever have so far. It keeps me track with my daily and upcoming activities. It reminds me of the special events that I need to remember and attend to. And most especially, it helps me organize my goals and dreams.
2013 so far is a great year to me and I wish that 2014 will be a much better year. If there is ONE thing that I want to #makeithappen this 2014, I hope that I will be able to visit and see my father who have been working and living at United States for nine years now.
And as soon as I hold my Belle De Jour Planner 2014, the one that I want to make it happen is the first thing that I will write on the 2014 Goals.
If you are like me who aspires and dreams a lot, be a certified Bella!
