Once in a while we all need to get out from the stress city of the metro. We need to breathe fresh air and enjoy nature at its best.
I saw a Metrodeal voucher for an overnight stay in a Laguna resort for two, and it was near Manila. The selling price was relatively low. So I grabbed the opportunity, immediately bought the voucher and informed a good friend about it.
The resort place is called Yahweh’s Spring Retreat, Resort and Spa. It is located at Pansol, Laguna where hot springs are very famous.
It was easy to head to Yahweh. If you are commuting like what my friend and I did, just ride the LRT and alight at on Gil Puyat station. Just below the station, you can see the DLTBCO. Look for a bus that goes to Sta. Cruz, Laguna then just remind the conductor to drop you off at Luisa Ridge. From there you’ll need to walk for few minutes to Jalandoni St and spot the. You can easily identify it among the lines of resorts at Jalandoni St. due to its catchy bright color paint. 🙂
Kuya Nelson and Ate Nini, the couple caretakers welcomed us with warm smiles. We were a little early for our check-in so we stayed at the reception area first. The place is called Capernaum.
Not to waste time, I asked a few questions to Ate Nini like if there were some guests aside from me and my friend. She promptly answered that we were the only guests! I could not believe it! It was renting the whole resort!
After a few more chat, Kuya Nelson led us to our room. It is located at the second floor- overlooking the crystal clear swimming pool. Yahweh has 20 deluxe rooms good for couples and friends who want to stay overnight or for a few days. They also have four family rooms and because we were the only guests at the moment, they gave us one!
Our room is named… Siloam!
Here’s a sneak peek…
A honeymoon room or perhaps a royalty room…
It was a haven and we loved it! It has queen-sized beds and a smaller bed, probably fit for a queen and a little princess. (And my good friend claimed to be the the higher-ranked of us two… haha).
In addition, there is a couch with three pillows which is great for reading or just relaxing your feet.
There are two small tables beside the bed; one has a bible while the other has a coffee set on top.
There is also a wooden cabinet, a small television and a radio inside the room.
Here comes the comfort room…
The walls are covered with bricks. There is a shower, toilet and sink ready for use.
This is the curtain covers the comfort room…
And here are the other things that you can see inside the room!
After our feasted on the interiors of our room, it was definitely time to go out and explore the rest of the resort before the sun set. 🙂
You can hang-out with your barkadas at Café Galleria, where you can just sit, eat, talk non-stop and sing your heart out with the karaoke until dawn!
There are also inspiring words to live posted on the wall.
The two crystal clear swimming pools of the resort where the water really comes from the mountain!
This is really an awesome area where you can just dive in whenever you want to swim.
Remember these faces? Perhaps, you’ve seen them on small screen a few years back.
Indeed, there are the gorgeous Miss Earth 2006 contestants. The resort became the exclusive place for the photo shoot of the beauty contestants after a strong typhoon that hit the Philippines.
Naughty or nice? If naughty, then there is a small corner for you in front of the swimming pool named ‘Hudas Corner’– a perfect spot to order drinks while sitting on a high chair.
And when nature calls and you are ready to pee, you have to check first the door you are going to entering. At Yahweh, the boy’s comfort room is called ‘Samson’ and for the girls it is ‘Delilah’. Lucky you if you come across this…
There is also a meeting place for special events and occasion at Yahweh called Pentecost Hall.
Inside, you can see several chairs and an assembled instruments set.
Martha’s place is the main dinning area at Yahweh.
There is a Station of the Cross. It is a great place to spend the holy week with family and friends or even simple prayers and meditation.
It also offers a view of the majestic Mt. Makiling Mountain.
The resort was visited not only by beauty contestants but Korean pop bands as well!
To complete our overnight stay, we ended our day with Nid’s Binalot foods. We enjoyed the delicious Arroz Caldo with egg, Adobong Liempo, Beef Tapa, Leche Flan and Halo-halo.
Our tummies, as well as our souls, were truly satisfied.
Yahweh’s Spring Retreat, Resort and Spa is definitely a wonderful place to stay. Although, our experience didn’t last long we had so much that we promised ourselves to go back there next summer. Perhaps, luck will come our way again and we will be treated and pampered again like a king and a queen! (Or a queen and a princess!)
